Dear Members,

We are writing to you today to provide you with clarity about the direction your Board of Directors is taking the Club.

On the 24th July, our Finance Director Tony Mitchem advised you about some very positive news, the Board has been successful in securing a financing arrangement that will resolve the short term cash flow issues of the club, therefore, ensuring our ongoing viability and meeting the requirements of our auditor for the coming 12 months. This was a great first step in securing the future of our club.

On the 27th July, The Kingston Council passed a motion to progress to the next step of the approval process with the Minister for Planning to have the small parcel of land on Sixth Avenue rezoned to residential. This is a critical milestone, as it shows we have the support of the Kingston Council in our planned redevelopment. Over the coming weeks there will be a community consultation process. Based on there being no objections to our proposal, this will be followed by the processing of paperwork by Kingston Council. Sixth Avenue is soon set to become a very valuable asset for our club.

Based on these key milestones being achieved, and based on the current cash projections for the next 12 months, the focus of your Board of Directors will be to build a strategy and business model that will ensure the long term viability of the club at its current location in Aspendale.  All of the efforts of your Board will now be focused on building Rossdale into the most successful mid-tier Private Golf Club in the country.

It is now time for our club to unite behind one single purpose. Regardless of the direction you wanted our club to take, every member has the same goal in mind; to save our great club, and build a long term future for Rossdale that will ensure it remains the “Friendly” Club.

We ask for support in whatever way you can. Whether it is volunteering your time, supporting the clubs restaurant and pro-shop, bringing new ideas to the table, or just simply spreading the word that Rossdale is a great place to come and enjoy with your family and friends.

Along the way some change will be needed to ensure we achieve a better result than the past. Your ongoing support is essential to the future of our club, and we will absolutely value any feedback and contribution that you make towards our goal of making Rossdale the friendliest and most successful golf club in the country.

Kind Regards
Board of Directors
