We are currently looking to create a working group to join us in the discussion we are calling for members to come forward if they would like to help contribute ideas or services for the redevelopment. We are looking for anyone with design, architectural, or trades that would like to help contribute to this fantastic upgrade for the club. A visit from a friendly face
Last Thursday we had the pleasure of having our 95 year old member Dennis Cunningham back to the club for a visit. What an absolutely beautiful day to welcome Dennis back!
L to R: Steve Dowse, Peter Blake, Dennis Cunningham, David Williams, Hak Lim & Bryan Quinn
On the Course
It has been a dry but very cold winter so far with only 37 mm of rain recorded since the middle of June. A run of days with very strong winds has kept us busy, clearing fallen branches and general debris.
A break in the wind has given us the opportunity to apply a preventative fungicide to the greens, which have responded well to a couple of soil drenching fertilizer applications, this was done to strengthen both the plant and the soil profile.
Frosts have arrived and put the kikuyu into dormancy earlier than normal, this slows down the growth of kikuyu, and the ability for divots and bloody bird damage to repair.
Otherwise, our attention has turned to bunkers. The bunkers on the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 12th, 14thand 16th being identified as the worst, have been plough and levelled.
Bring on Spring!!

Dear Ladies,
Next week the Victoria Women are coming to our course on Wednesday 8th August.
As we are playing a foursomes Stableford competition on that day I thought it wiser if Rossdale tee off the 1st Tee and Victoria off the 10th.
Please check the time sheet to see the changes. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Lady Captain,
Bernadette Terrell
