A few golfing changes

The club is working hard to ensure all members and staff are safe but still operational during this time. As the COVID-19 restrictions begin to lift, we are attempting to regain some normality while still running in a safe manner. Please see some new changes to be implemented from Saturday 23rd. If you have any questions please contact the club at rgc.manager@rossdalegolf.com.au

– We will open two tee starts on Saturdays only

– Timesheets will be opened earlier each week. 
Saturdays – 7 days in advance. 
Sunday – 6 days in advance. 
Weekdays – 5 days in advance.

– Tee times will be 7 minutes apart on the 1st and 10 minutes apart on the 10th. 

– Facilities are now open for lessons 

– Practice nets will be open

– You may now play 2 days in a row but please be aware of booking on both Saturdays and Sundays. Be mindful that everyone would like a game during this period. 

– Long, short range and main putting green to remain closed. 

Thank you to all of our members who have been patient and understanding. We hope to be back to normal as soon as possible. 

Rossdale’s Superstar

An email from Nina Pegova, our Newest Honorary Social Member from Russia. 

Hello!

Hope that all of you are doing well and staying safe.

I was touched when I saw in your last newsletter a story about my first visit to Rossdale golf club. I remember very well meeting a nice gentleman on green of hole number 3 with whom I had a lovely conversation. I am very grateful to Cheryl who introduced me to the captain of Rossdale Ladies team and officials of the club.

I really like the atmosphere of your golf club. I read your newsletter and watch all nice renovation works that you do to the golf course and clubhouse during quarantine time. You are doing a great job!

Hope to be back at the beginning of the next year and to organize an activity for members who are going to be interested ( I believe a golf clinic is the best option).

In Moscow all golf clubs are closed now due to quarantine. It is not allowed to go outside except for a visit to the nearest supermarket or pharmacy. So I try to practice at home. I send to you videos which I made for social advertising where I persuade people to stay at home.

I wish all club members and staff to overcome this difficult time and to enjoy golf soon!

Pat is now serving incredible food everyday on the deck! With special additions to the menu every Saturday.

Our takeaway is almost up and running. Starting on Wednesday 27th! You can order via phone 0422 866 355

All orders before 5:30 that day. 

Orders can be delivered at 5:30 , 6:00 or 6:30. Pickup from Rossdale is available from 5:30-7:00. 

First person to order will receive FREE DELIVERY! 

$5 delivery fee. T&C’s apply.

Our head chef, Pat, has been working away preparing this menu! He has begun making items for staff to try and working on his design of each dish. If you would like to see more, follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see Pat’s videos about his meals and where his ingredients come from. 

Unexpected Rainfall 

Below is a chart of rainfall for this year compared to last year and the monthly averages. As we are sure you’re all aware, it’s raining a lot! 

Due to the rainfall creating damp ground and therefore destroying the grass the course staff worked so hard on,  the course staff will be placing stakes and ropes around the course. 

Please ensure you stick to the designated areas to protect our course. 

Member Rebate Offer

The Club has been overwhelmed with the generosity many members have shown over the past few weeks. With many calls and emails to say they would not like to receive the rebate promised for any lost time.

We understand that the current circumstances have been financially difficult for many, however if you find yourself in a fortunate position and would like to not receive your rebate please send an email to rgc.manager@rossdalegolf.com.au

During these times if any members are stuck in isolation or are feeling as though they need support, please contact the Club as our staff have indicated a willingness to help. Staff are more that happy to make home deliveries for any members requiring assistance in getting essential items from the grocery stores or paying bills etc.
