Our New Head Teaching Professional
We would like to welcome Elissa Orr who officially starts with us on the 10th of June, you will see her mostly on the driving range and short game area, However you will be able to meet her in the Pro Shop. Her lesson availability is below and also a brief bio from her.
I cut my teeth and honed my skills as a touring professional before discovering my real passion within the golf industry – teaching.
For the past 4 years I have been working full time as a golf coach – focusing my attention on customer goals and satisfaction, while continuing to work on my skills as a teacher.
I draw on my skills and knowledge as an elite golfer on tour for 7 years, to know what it takes to improve your golf.
Since switching my focus to teaching full time, I have established a strong client base to which I am keen to continue building upon.
My coaching philosophy is ‘simple communication for maximum effect.” I use state of the art coaching devices to help the golfer better understand their games – from V1 Golf for video analysis, to CAPTO 3D analysis for putting to help my clients dig deeper into the patterns that are creating their inconsistencies.
Having recently been appointed Golf Australia, Victorian High Performance Coach, I am excited by the opportunity that affords me to coach at an elite level, Having said that I also revel in the opportunity to start with a beginner to help mould their skills from a clean slate.
My role as Victorian High Performance Coach will allow me the opportunity to work alongside Dean Kinney (VIS Coach) and all of the State’s best amateur golfers within the State team program combined with much of time on the range with Club golfers.
Playing Background;
2012 – I completed my PGA Traineeship where I decided to take on playing full time as a career, I enjoyed playing all over the world but in 2015 -2016 I stepped back to playing part time to focus more on coaching.
