Rossdale Golf Course Redevelopment | Rossdale Golf Club

Consultation reopens on the future redevelopment of Rossdale golf course

As our members will know, the Club has been working towards a rezoning and sale of the existing club golf land to fund the relocation to a new and more contemporary course.  This is in response to decreasing financial sustainability of the existing course.

The Club appointed a project team to facilitate a redevelopment proposition that will both secure the Club’s future and achieve a net community benefit.  In April 2023 our initial plans to develop Club land were released for public feedback.

We are now heading into Phase 2 of public comment on our plans and have released of an Ideas Plan and design principles.

We are encouraging all in the community to have their say on our plans.  Importantly, the Ideas Plan is based on eight principles from earlier community feedback. Extensive thought has gone into the general layout for the proposed redevelopment taking into careful consideration the feedback we have already received.

The Ideas Plan released for public comment sees approximately 30% of the site proposed as public open space and the creation of new wetlands. Emphasis has also been placed on integrating the new development into surrounding neighbourhoods with new walkways, cycle paths and linking parkways.

Members of course are welcomed to participate in this discussion or get in contact directly with the club. More information can be found at www.yourfuturerossdale.com.au

Comments are open during August and feedback on the draft plan will inform the finalisation of the Clubs proposal before it formally lodges a request to rezone and develop the site with the Kingston Council.
